Date: Friday 7th – Sunday 9th June 2019
This is a special opportunity for families to meet and enjoy a weekend in peaceful surroundings and have lots of fun. The weekend offers art, drama, outdoor games, and workshops for teenagers. There are also simple meditations for all the family. All families are welcome, you do not need to be Buddhist or have any experience of meditation.
Meditation can help the whole family lead a more peaceful and happy life together. From very young children to teenagers with exam stress, everyone can benefit from and enjoy meditation. It helps kids to relax, to learn well, and play together with kindness and consideration.
The weekend starts on Friday at 6pm, and finishes after an early dinner on Sunday. You can come for the whole weekend or just a day. Indoor accommodation or camping facilities are available.
The weekend’s teenage activities will be run by Gen Kelsang Dragden, who has years of experience and special skill presenting Buddhism to children. Kadam Bridget Heyes will run a special session for parents to share her years of experience of being a Buddhist parent.
