An empowerment is a special blessing ceremony, consisting of a series of guided visualisations, where we make a connection with enlightened beings. On this weekend, we can get to know the powerful Dharma Protector of Kadampa Buddhism.

A Dharma Protector is an emanation of a Buddha or Bodhisattva whose main functions are to avert the inner and outer obstacles that prevent practitioners from gaining spiritual realizations, and to arrange all the necessary conditions for their spiritual development.

The Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden is an emanation of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, who always helps, guides and protects sincere practitioners by granting blessings, increasing their wisdom and fulfilling their virtuous wishes. During this weekend course, Kadam Bridget will give teachings and guide meditations to strengthen our connection with this dedicated spiritual friend.

Kadam Bridget Heyes is the principal teacher at Nagarjuna KMC and the NKT National Spiritual Director of the UK. She is a senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang and has been practising for over 30 years.

Kadam Bridget is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that are easy to practice and integrate into daily life.
