Menorca Retreat with Kadam Bridget Heyes

Date: Monday 4th – Friday 8th May

A relaxing Buddhist retreat on the beautiful island of Menorca.

Each session will begin with 20 minutes of Buddhist prayers to create the best inner space for meditation, and then Kadam Bridget Heyes will give a brief introduction and guide all the meditations.

Kadam Bridget Heyes  has been practising for over 30 years and is a senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. She is the Resident Teacher at Nagarjuna KMC and the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director of the UK.

Kadam Bridget is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that are easy to practice and integrate into daily life.

The International Retreat Centre in Menorca is a secluded refuge set in forested hills in a large conservation area, with a beautiful Temple, visitor accommodation, and scenic terraces. It has beautiful walks and is known for its tranquillity. Menorca is not your typical Spanish tourist-trap – it is rustic and unspoilt, a glimpse of a pre-commercialised Spain. The coast and towns are a 15-minute drive away.

There is limited accommodation available at Menorca IRC, located a few minutes walk away from the Temple through woodland. There are also rooms in the local Villa Manu, a 15-minute walk away. The Villa Manu also has an outdoor swimming pool. Rooms are in the typical simple Spanish villa style, full of rustic charm. Meals consist of a simple breakfast, and a cooked lunch and dinner prepared by a team of kind volunteers.
