I have been struggling with anxiety and depression since January after a change of job really knocked me for six. I had always been interested in mindfulness and meditation for a long time and when I came across your website I planned a visit.
To say I was taken with the sheer amount of peace and calm that I experienced was an understatement and I am so very grateful for everything that the meditation classes have bought me. I am in a far better place than I could have ever expected. When anxious thoughts arrive I am able to accept them and experience them instead of trying to run away from them using any external elements that were available.
Since coming to your temple I am being very kind to myself and others. This is in no small part thanks to the amazing meditation classes that I have attended on a Thursday. Can you please thank the nun who has been teaching these classes, she is very kind and her words of wisdom are gratefully received. It seems that every time I come she has something to say that gives me so much strength to cope with my anxieties. It’s almost as if she knows exactly what to say to make me feel so much better.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for everything that the classes have bought me. I am a much calmer and more considered person now with resources to cope with whatever life will throw at me.
I just wanted to say how helpful yesterday’s lunch time meditation was. The content was excellent and put over so effectively. One of the best sessions I have attended over the past years.
As the theme was all about “Thank you” and appreciating others it was also resonant with the wider events of yesterday.
